Agnitus for iPad app review
Agnitus by Agnitus provides kids aged two to five with educational activities to keep them busy and entertained.
In this app for your iPad you'll be provided with 13 academic skills that are based on the Common Core State Standards, 16 educational games, and even report cards for parents to view the child's individual skills. Features of this app include the ability to track the child's study time and game levels that move from basic to advanced as the child progresses through the games.
Some of the skills kids will be building upon include math skills. Kids will be working on counting, a sense of quantity, recognizing numbers, and number sorting.
Kids will also work on foundational skills such as shape building, color recognition, memory and recall, and shape recognition. English language skills and phonics aren't overlooked in this app as kids will learn about initial consonants, uppercase letter tracing, tracing lines, and letters recognition.
Of course kids will be learning and building on their skill set but they'll also be having a lot of fun while they're at it. This ensures that they will stick with the activities and keep coming back to it, encouraging constant improvements.
Agnitus was updated on Feb. 6, 2013 and currently has 238 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.
I found this to be a very well-rounded app for kids to use. It gave them a sense of fun and enjoyment, which took the focus off the learning part.
